Meet our team
Lance McCormick – Director/Technician
Lance founded Be Alarmed in 2006 with wife Lisa. He’s worked in the security industry more than 20 years, and has experience ranging from night patrols and cash runs to locksmithing and installing alarms. He’s an all-rounder who knows security inside and out. Day-to-day he’s a man with many hats, but you’ll often find him on site managing installation, repair and maintenance. Lance has been married to Lisa for 10 years.
Lisa McCormick – Director/Office Manager
Lisa is a great multi-tasker who manages to handle administration and keeping the boys in line, and has recently ventured out into the world of social media. Lisa is married to Lance and together they have a combined family of four children, two cats and one dog.
Gavin McCormick – Director
Gavin fronts the Be Alarmed team, handling sales and business development. After 25 years in banking, Gavin joined the team in 2014 tasked with establishing the company as a leader in the ever-changing Bay of Plenty/Waikato security industry. He’s handy with the tools, too, but if you want to sit down for a coffee and discuss your options, Gavin is your man.
Greg Shepherd – Technician
Greg joined the team in 2014 with 20 years of experience in security and electronics. When he’s not installing alarms for Be Alarmed, you’ll find Greg getting his electronics fix elsewhere – motorbikes, remote control cars/helicopters, photography, cars. You name it, Greg’s there.
Cameron Fenton – Technician
Cameron started out as a sparkie before transitioning into security work. A Tauranga local, Cameron joined our team in early 2016 when he returned home after a stint working Hamilton. A man with the need for speed – he’s into drifting, motocross and bmx in his spare time.
Jake Finnis – Technician
Jake joined our team in late 2016 with 6 years experience in commercial security on large commercial jobs in Perth, Australia – Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, PA Systems, Mobile Duress Alarms and more. When he’s not at work Jake’s 2 young sons keep him busy.
